The European Commission bears the overall political and financial responsibility. It equally raises awareness of the programme, gives guidance, approves relationships between new and host entrepreneurs, ensures evaluation and follow-up, develops and adapts the project into a continuous programme, based on the lessons learned from completed activities during the pilot phase. Furthermore, it publishes the specific calls for proposals and is responsible for the entire life-cycle of the project, including the selection, awarding of grants and monitoring.
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs, financed by the European Commission, currently operates across 27 European Member States, and other participating countries, with the help of intermediary organisations.
